It was reported that Lil Wayne sold over a million copies of his new album "The Carter 3" in the first week. Whether the label or Lil Wayne's people bought some of his own records to inflate the actual sales isn't the real question. The REAL question is did Lil Wayne get the sample cleared for "A Milli" which was produced by ATL's own Bangladesh. With so many emcees such as Cassidy, Jadakiss, Jay-Z, Killer Mike, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, Ne-Yo & others murdering the track through various freestyles, it appears that even though almost everyone shined brighter than Lil Weeziana on his song he maybe be the only one who may take the biggest loss financially for the track.

Through various crate & beat diggers online its been identified that the sample used for the "A Milli" joint samples the voice from Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest. The song used is identified as the Vampire remix to the classic ATCQ joint "I Left My Wallet In El Segundo". Now for many of you people who don't know real hip hop, A Tribe Called Quest is one of the greatest hip hop groups in hip hop history. Releasing such classics as "Bonita Applebum", "Can I Kick It", "Scenario", & many others it's obvious that their catalog of hits is beyond extensive.

Damn!! That's alot of ringtones sold for that song & I'm sure A Tribe Called Quest didn't get their cut. We wouldn't be surprised if a lawsuit would eventually come down & if not that then maybe the issue could be worked out quietly behind closed doors. All we're saying is...."Hey Phife can we get a finders fee?" Cut the check! LOL

Check out how the sample was used in the video below! You can also download it underneath the video!
