One of the greatest djs in the history of hip hop culture stopped through the ATL recently promoting his new book.

The Legendary Grandmaster Flash was in the Borders Bookstore in Buckhead on June 17th signing copies of "Adventures of Grandmaster Flash: My Life, My Beats"

Things got started in the evening around 7:30pm with an diverse crowd of about 50 people. We noticed a few Atlanta area club, radio, & mixtape djs such as DJ Nabs were also in attendance. We're not sure if it was meant to be a low-key event, but there didn't see to be much publicity about the book signing. We're positive the turn out would have been greater had people had known he was in town. But then again most book store signings are relatively low key anyway.

Michael Mauldin (Jermaine Dupri's Dad) helped moderate the session before Grandmaster Flash touched upon key topics in his book from his period of drug addiction, being ripped off by Sugar Hill Records, & he also gave a demonstration on various djing techniques.
